State Test Scores

On September 8, 2016, the State Board of Education (SBE) approved key elements of a new state accountability system that replaces the former Academic Performance Index (API) and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) which relied mostly on student test scores to measure progress. The new system includes multiple measures and is aligned with the eight state priorities identified in the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The new system will be implemented in 2017-18. This webpage summarizes the available information about school indicators, performance standards, and the criteria for determining technical assistance and intervention to districts.
